Summary:This paper aims to explore ecotourism in Wildlife Rescue Center (WRC) Yogyakarta and Chengdu Giant Panda Research Base Sichuan and describe how both conservation centers sustain those places to preserve the animal especially endangered animals. Furthermore, this paper explains about the activities and facilities which support ecotourism in these conservation centers that has goal to preserve endangered animals and give the visitors a chance to learn about nature and conservation. The method of collecting the data is direct observation, interview, and library research. Direct observation and interview are conducted in both Wildlife Rescue Center and Chengdu Giant Panda Research Base to look for information and data about ecotourism in those places. Library research is done to collect some additional information to support the discussion in this paper. The conclusion of this research is that there are some differences and similarities found between WRC and Chengdu Panda Research Base. The similarity is the goal of both centers which is to preserve endangered animals especially orang-utan and giant panda and give learning experience for the visitors. However, the way they give those learning activities are different. WRC more focuses on the activities that give learning experience for visitors especially about conservation and nature. Chengdu Panda Research Base has facilities which give a chance to visitors to learn about animal conservation especially giant panda.
