| Summary: | Background: Based on preliminary study that has been conducted through
interview with Coordinator of Medical Record Management at The General
Region Hospital of Yogyakarta, informations obtained show that the imaging
process of inactive medical record has been conducted by scanning since April
2013. Seen from the inactive medical record storage room at The General
Region Hospital of Yogyakarta which still unified with other unused things and
there are not special rack for inactive medical record documents, imaging
process need to be conducted to safing attempt medical record that still having
used value. This because if medical record sheets that still having used value
safed by hard file only, there is possibility damaged because termites, torn out, or
other destructive factors. So that the medical record sheets that still having used
value conduct the imaging process required can be access easily at any time.
Objective: To identify the imaging process on diminution medical record at The
General Region Hospital of Yogyakarta, to identify the factors which influence
implementation of the imaging process at The General Region Hospital of
Yogyakarta, and to identify obstacles in the imaging process at The General
Region Hospital of Yogyakarta.
Methods: This research using qualitative descriptive method with case study
approachment and cross sectional design. Subjects of this research are medical
record officers and an IT officer. Object of this research is implementation of
imaging process on diminution of medical record at The General Region Hospital
of Yogyakarta.
Results : Based on interview and observation, the imaging process is part of
medical record diminution�s stages. The stages of medical record diminution at
The General Region Hospital of Yogyakarta are sorting medical record
documents, having last visit records at Sistem Informasi Kesehatan (SIK) being
checked, conduct imaging process, moving medical records into folders, also
moving medical record sheets which are still having usage values to storage.
Imaging process at The General Region Hospital of Yogyakarta include medical
record sheets' sorting, scanning process, and storage. Factors which are
affecting imaging process at The General Region Hospital of Yogyakarta divided
into five groups
