| description | The main purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of public
information related to monetary policy of loan to value restriction to mortgage
loans by Bank Indonesia, to the banking and property stocks return on the event
window. Event window of this research consists of pre-event dates (5 days before
the public information was published), event date (the day when the public
information was published) and post-event dates (5 dayes after the information
was published).
This research uses event study method to analyze if public information
related to monetary policy of loan to value has value content and relevant to the
investors which was measured by abnormal return. Result of this research shows
that public infomration related to loan to value policy has value content and
relevant to the investors in making decision because there is negative and
significant abnormal return along the event windows. |
