At the first periode all groups were feed at the daily requirement for maintenance, with average of 0.77-0.78 kg dry matter/animal/day for 45 days. At second periode, group A was given 0.78±0.03 kg dry matter/animal/day, whereas group B was given 0.42 ± 0.06 kg dry matter/animal/day for 45 days. Blood sampling was conducted on the last day in each periode before the morning feeding. Serum triglyceryde was analyzed using Synchron CX® kit (Beckman Coulter, United Kingdom). Data were analyzed using t-Test. The study results showed that serum triglyceride at first periode in group A was 41±10.81 mg/dL and group B was 34.33±14.47 mg/dL and there was no significant difference between these groups (p>0.05). At second periode, the serum triglyceride concentration showed a significant difference between 2 groups (p<0.05), 32.67±4.93 mg/dL for group A and 22±3.00 mg/dL for group B. Conclusion of this study is that feed restriction affects on serum triglyceride concentration in kacang goat. |
