Summary: | Natural Forest Girimanik included into the lower montane forest with an
altitude between 1,300 m to 2,500 m above sea level. Precisely in the Village
Setren, District Slogohimo, Wonogiri, Central Java Province. Mountain forests
provide benefits to people who live in the mountains and living under it. Such as
the use of plants and animals as food, medicine, firewood, and water catchment
areas. This study was conducted to determine the composition of tree species
making up the ecosystem as well as the spreading pattern Girimanik Natural
Forest neighborhood.
Methods of data collection in the field is done by using nested sampling.
Measurements were made by taking the data in the species composition of forests
Girimanik on postal 3, block 102 in Mount Plants. Then do the counting
individual plants for seedlings, saplings, poles and trees on each of the plots. The
plot size is 20x20 m for measuring trees, 10x10 m for the pole, 5x5m to 2x2m for
seedling and sapling at any height up to a maximum height of 1300 meters above
sea level which can be affordable. Each carried a height of 50 m plot manufacture
2 times replicates the position on the right and left of the path. Data analysis was
performed by calculating the density and dominance and the search for patterns of
spreading using Dispersion Index.
The results showed there are two types of constituent seedlings, saplings
are 3 types of constituent levels, 3 types of constituent levels and 4 types of
constituent pole tree level. The composition of the constituent types namely
Quercus sundaica, Schima wallichii, Pinus merkusii, and Trema orientalis.
Quercus sundaica has the highest density value at a rate of seedlings, saplings,
poles and trees. For dominance is also the highest in Quercus sundaica types. Of
the two types of constituent seedlings, saplings are 3 types of constituent levels, 3
types of level drafters pole and 4-level constituent types of trees found in the area
of natural forest is dominated by Girimanik clumped distribution pattern.
