| description | Shabondama which was published in 1926, is one of Yoshio Toyoshima�s
works. This short story use the first person point-of-view. The main character in
this short story is Havons. In this short story is told Havons figures who have
psychiatric disorders after losing his beloved child and he wants to see him son
who had died using magic soap bubble.
In this research, the structural theory used to analyze the intrinsic elements
of the short story and linkages between elements. Further use of Humanistic
Psychology Abraham Maslow theory to know the correlation between fulfillment
needs Havons figure with obsessive behavior motives.
This results show that the basic needs of owned and unfulfilled love for
figure Havons lost him beloved son to be one motives of Havons figures
obsessive behavior to meet his son who had died. Therefore, he continously
perform magic in the form of soap bubble that can be altered to resemble his
beloved child. This is what can be indentified as an obsessive behavior. |
