| Summary: | Democratic development of any country in the world has many various problems, not least India. India has the problem about caste (patriarchy), feminist and quota problems. Quota issue is not only focused on women's quota issue, but also involves issues of dalit quota (outer class). There is debate about women quotas, quotas for dalit or quota for dalit women. Mayawati as one character then fight for these issues at all levels of government, both in village level (Panchayat) and the government level parliament (Lok Sabha dan Rajya Sabha. And this thesis will discuss about the role of Mayawati fight for Dalit women's rights in the political governance of India. What Mayawati did in the fight for women's quota and Dalit women in particularly.
This thesis will use feminist theory and women's rights in view quotas as the main focus to see this issued. How far Mayawati Mayawati as a fighter and role model for women in india in dalit rights and how its correlation with an increased representation of women in political representation. |
