study was to map condition of that physical parameters quantitatively in all parts of
Jatiluhur Reservoir,
The method used is statistical correlation and nonlinear regression analysis between
in situ measurements of the physical parameters with Landsat 8 imagery spectral
values on a single band, band ratio, or band combination that produces the best
regression model respectively for each physical parameters for use in water quality
mapping
There is a strong correlation between the results of in situ measurements with
spectral values of Landsat 8 (0,86 < R < 0,96). Band 11 and band ratio B10/B11
correlates strongly with the water surface temperature, (R = 0,86771 and R2 =
0,752921). Band ratio B3/B2 and B4/B2 correlated most strongly with water
turbidity, (R = 0,961037 and R2 = 0,9236 ). Band 5 and band ratio B5/B4 has the
strongest relationship with dissolved solids, (R = 0,925307 and R2 = 0,8562 ). Best
regression models obtained through full cubic multivariate analysis, with that bands
as an independent variable. The results of the mapping is able to well described the
distribution and spatial patterns of physical parameters of water quality in Jatiluhur
Reservoir.
