Summary:Telecommunication channels may bring destructive effects for the signals trasmitted over it. One of them is the multipath delay effect which may lead to Inter Symbol Interference (ISI). OFDM systems avoiding ISI by having guard interval between each symbols. To completely avoid ISI, the duration of guard interval should be longer than the multipath delay effect caused by the channel. However, lengthen the CP duration will reduce the efficiency of overall OFDM performance. Another approach is by using Time Domain Equalization (TEQ) MMSE-UEC on OFDM receiver. It will compensate the channel to shorthen the multipath delay in order to make it shorter than CP duration. Simulation results show that the TEQ MSE-UEC equalization is able to compersate the ISI, indicated by the decreasement of BER from 15,026 % to 0,286458 %.
