Family satisfaction is one important indicator of the achievement of effective palliative care. Therefore, measuring family satisfaction to be important treatments performed by a health care provider. Objective: to describe family satisfaction of palliative cancer patients to palliative care services in RSUP Dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta Method: a cross sectional descriptive study using a quantitative approach undertaken in Dr. Sardjito April-June 2014 a total of 33 respondents. Family satisfaction was measured using Famcare scale and numerical data analysis using descriptive and categorical and different test performed using the unpaired t-test, Mann Whitney and one-way ANOVA. Result: in this study, 66.7% -100% satisfaction in the category of \"very satisfied\" and \"satisfied\". Families have the highest satisfaction subscale of the psychosocial treatment (mean 1.82 ± 0.30). 'How doctors conduct an examination of the patient's complaints' is a question items with the highest satisfaction rates as much as 42.4% while the family was very satisfied, 'ease of getting inpatient room' as much as 3% of respondents chose a value of 5 which indicates that the respondents are not satisfied. This study found no significant differences between the demographic data of respondents and patients with levels of family satisfaction (p> 0.05). Conclusion: family palliative cancer patients have a high level of satisfaction with the services of palliative care in RSUP Dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta.
