| Summary: | In Tidore Kepulauan Municipality, tourism sector is less managed in a
significant manner. The local government has not a macro policy as a guideline in
tourism development. However, since 2006 the Municipal Government of Tidore
Kepulauan had initiative to manage tourism sector, including the tourism object of
Akesahu beach through the 2008 Master Plan of Local Tourism Development.
Therefore, the purposes of this study are to describe the policy of tourism object in
Tidore Kepulauan Municipality in general and Akesahu Beach in particular, and
to analyze the effectiveness of tourism management in view of infractructure
development program in favor of the tourism object of Akesahu Beach.
The study was conducted using a descriptive qualitative method. The data
required in the study were primary data collected using observation and in-depth
interview, and secondary data obtained by using a documentary technique. The
data required were analyzed by a descriptive qualitative technique.
Results of the study show that infrastructure management in the tourism
object of Akesahu Beach by the Subdepartment of Culture and Tourism, Tidore
Kepulauan Municipality was very effective with the budget realization of 100%.
The infrastructure management of tourism object was very effective, which can be
seen that in Akesahu Beach some public physical facilities were built, i.e.: (1) One
asphalt road and one rural transportation traject through Akesahu Beach
