Summary:This research is intended to study the implementation of Lean Operation in the production process of making upper of foot wear in PT Ecco Indonesia, new era of system manufacturing growth the concept of industrialization has changed from the traditional concept to the modern concept. Ecco has adopted Toyota Production System called Ecco Production System, the main objective to get high value of Ecco�s product so that program for customer satisfaction can be achieved. Primary focus of the thesis to explore program reducing the waste in process of upper making in production process, by identified and evaluate the potentials source of creating waste. The qualitative methodology is used in this study research, in order to be able to provide descriptive explanation. The data has been collected by individual depth interview, operators, supervisors, production coordinators and senior production coordinators, planning manager, technical manager, human Resources manager and material requirement manager. To analyze and explore the potential waste has used method of fish bone diagram. Fishbone diagram able to found the problem potential waste in depth and detail, although the problem is very small. The finding problem situation will be proposed as the continues improvement implementing of lean operation for the next step. In general, it was founded that, lean operation can improve awareness of the employee about making high quality upper with competitive cost.
