Summary: | Isolation of the active compounds of secondary metabolites as antioxidant
from bangun-bangun leaves, Identification and determine the potential activity of
the active compound isolated from bangun-bangun leaves extract as an
antioxidant determine the structure of the active antioxidant compounds isolated
from bangun-bangun leaves with the analysis had been conducted by I& UV, GCMS,
rH-NM&
and
13C-NN{R.
The First, samples of leaves bangun-bangun were prepared and dried in
the open space by avoiding direct exposure to sunlight and the sample size by
using a blender. The Secon{ maceration process using methanol solvent. The
third, the extract was filtered, concentrated by an evaporator, a partition based on
the increase in the polarity of solvent (z-hexane, chlorofom, and ethyl acetate),
phyochemical test, and preliminary testing of each antioxidant extracts with
DPPH. The fourttl extracts with higher activity was purified by column
chromatography. The fifth, active isolates (crystal) were analyzed for melting
point, U/, IR\" GC-MS,
'H-NN,R.
and
I3C-MUR.
Isolates obtained results column two crystals with a melting point of
114-115
oC
and 232-233
oC,
crystal was obtained dissolve completely with
methanol, ethyl acetate and chloroform. The results of GC-MS analysis of the
active isolates I, there is a retention time peak with 7.316 minutes and percent
peak 100%. Active isolates II, there are two peaks, the first retention time of 6.658
minutes with percent peak3.95Yo. the socond has retention time of 9.001 minutes
with percent pak 96.A5%. Each crystal has antioxidant activity
flCso)
of 388.40
and 338.15 including antioxidant active compounds into the weak category. The
first active isolates were 7o-acetoxyroyleanone-16-hidroxy, and isolates the active
second were 7u-hidroxyroyleanone-l 6-acetoxy.
