This study questioned and tried to find out the extent to which the user's perception of the school merger program. Researchers sought to know the perception of citizens about the school, parents, and school personnel on school merger program implementation in Bantul. Ideally the school merger program is within the framework of the consolidation of management education, but the program is conducted by the Department of Education in order to respond Bantul continuity after the educational needs of quake-hit Bantul area so that aspect of rehabilitation is more prominent than the purpose of consolidation. Questions about the purpose of saving (efficiency) operational costs of education in comparison with the benefits of merging school achievement is measured through achievement is important because it reflects aspects of which are higher priority.
At the end of this study concluded that for the community around the school, socialization aspect is the main weakness in the regrouping program. They do not know that the new school is in the environment that is the realization of this program. Regardless of the constraints faced by the government of Bantul regency in socialization, if these aspects could be implemented as a whole it would provide greater benefits. In terms of revenue, it turns out this aspect of socialization is not a constraint, as reflected in higher levels of acceptance of the program, which is one hundred percent, and even quite a lot of them feel involved to benefit. In terms of socialization, Bantul government seems more focused on the parents. Almost all parents are already aware of this since the program is still in the planning stages. In addition, almost all parents do not see this program as being more difficult for them, only a small fraction are felt to be more difficult in the case of sending their son / daughter and in terms of participation in school activities when needed. For those who are directly associated with the program as the organizer, the Department of Education and School Reform, perceived program benefits such as improved work ethic, participation, achievement, and motivation. Some of the weaknesses identified in the aspect of participation and motivation associated with changes in the context of school managerial and environmental interactions and relationships, both internal and external, and the need for students to adjust to the new learning situation. |
