levels in order to reduce levels of intact parathyroid hormone. This study aims to
determine the correlation between intact parathyroid hormone levels with quality
of life in hemodialysis patients given calcium carbonate.
Cross-sectional research on regular hemodialysis patients at the RS
Akademik UGM conducted in March-April 2014. Assessment of quality of life
using KDQOL-SF version 1.3 questionnaire and measurement of intact
parathyroid hormone levels done during the study. The study subjects consisted of
15 male patients (62.5%) and 9 women (37.5%). Average age was 49.4±11.46
years. The average length of undergoing hemodialysis was 23.2±15.61 month.
Average intact parathyroid hormone levels was 459.5±596.8 pg/mL. The mean
score for quality of life in physical health domains was 53.8±10.1 |
