Summary: | Public Transport considered to be one of the causes of traffic congestion
and irregularity in almost all urban areas in Indonesia, including North Toraja.
This is due to the absence of in-depth and thorough planning that covers all
aspects related, such as land use patterns, the pattern of the road network, and the
distribution patterns of population movement requirements, operating system, and
the level of service. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the seizure and
towing trips using public transport and travel distribution, as well as determining
new routes of public transport.
The method used is descriptive qualitative. The analysis is done in two
ways: manually and TFTP (Teacher Friendly Transportation Programme) 1997.
The manual method to create a new route using public transportation base map of
road network and land use maps to determine the nodes as rise and pull the trip.
While TFTP 1997 include the results of the processing performed by some of the
data include road network, road capacity, and land use.
The end result of this study is scenario planning public transport route
network that connects several zones of \"working area\" with \"residential area\".
Route network consists of three line, which south line, east line, and north line.
The division is intended that the service can cover all areas studied, with
consideration of the zones have been determined. Path traversed by public
transport is from the housing area to the city center and otherwise.
