Summary:Digital publishing began to develop in Indonesia, as the development of information and communication technology, eBooks (electronic books) or also known as a digital book is one aspect of digital publishing, starting preferably in line with the use of a smart phone or tablet that has been accommodated by the eBook Reader application (software for reading electronic books). Because practical in using, the book lovers have started there is a shift to read eBooks, this makes the printed book publishers must find a new way to meet readers in the digital age need in case of existance in industry publishing. This study aims to describe and analyze the strategies undertaken by Mizan facing era of digitization in the book publishing industry using the case study as a research method with descriptive research to describe Mizan strategies to meet the challenges of the external environment as the most dominant challenge in book publishing industry. The results showed that the Balance in accordance with the approach of the five competitive forces and industry Michael E. Porter's general strategy used in this study, do the strategies of differentiation, cost advantage, and also focus on the new business unit, named the Mizan Digital Publishing. Open a new line of specialized in digital publishing, is a rapid response Mizan answer digitization era. The conclusion of this research is the challenge of digitizing Mizan publishing can already be quite ready, but despite having done three general strategies Porter, but the overall strategy is to say they do not yet maximal, because the publishing industry is a creative industry, there is always relentless inovation.Strategy and innovation that they do still be easily followed by the competitors as well as the readiness of the technology that has notadequate yet.
