The diversity of cultures and customs of the people of Indonesia represents a
system of values, ideas and norms. In the other hand, various forms of crime
comes more increasingly and alarming. Beati is traditional ceremony in
Gorontalo, it is a public ethics education to adolescents. This ceremony is only
held by the adherents of Muslim. The ethics in Muslim is much emphasis on
human relationships with fellow human beings, nature and God. One of akhlaqi
Sufism is Imam Qusyairy an-Nisabury. The purpose of this study are: (1)
Revealing critically the ethical values contained in the Book of Qusyairyah, , (2)
Revealing critically the ethical values contained in the process of the traditional
ceremony Beati and the custom set of equipment, (3) Analyze critically range of
values in Beati from ethical perspective of Qusyairy and reflects the benefits of
ethical values in Beati in Qusyairy�s ethics for adolescents.
This study is a philosophical qualitative research. The data used are literature data
in Beati as a material object and the Ethics of Imam Qusyairy contained in the
Book of Qusyairyah as formal object. The method used in this study is a
description, interpretation, historical consistency, analytical and heuristics.
The results of this research showed: Ethical values contained in the Book of
Qusyairiyah is forswear, Mujahadah, khalwat and uzlah, taqwa, wara, zuhud,
shumtu, khauf, raja', huzn, al-juu ' wa tarkusyahwah, khusyu� and tawadhu�,
mukhalafatunnafs, hasad, ghibah, qana'ah, tawakal, gratitude, confident, patient,
muroqobah, ridha, ubudiah, irodah, istiqomah , sincere, shidqu, haya', hurriyyah,
dzikir, futuwah, khulq, juud wa sakha, wilayah, prayer, fakru, tasawuf, adab,
ahkam safar, shohbah, tauhid, khuruj min dunya, makrifat, mahabbah, syauq,
hifdzu qolbil sheikh, and Sima�. The ethical value of Beati depend on ethics of
Qusyairi contained in each process and custom set of equipment are as follows:
Molungudu to teach the repentance, khalwat and uzlah, as-shumtu, avoid ghibah,
shy, zuhud, and muhasabah. Momontho to teach istiqomah, taqwa, and ubudiyah.
Momuhuto to teach the sainthood, hifdzu qolbil masyayikh, tawadhu, mujahadah ,
avoid ghibah, roja', honesty, futuwwah, tawadhu, mukholafatunnafsi, qana'ah,
avoid hasad, and as-sima'. Mopohuta'o to pingge teaches wara, understand
ahkaam safar, syukur, patience, futuwwah, sincere, istiqomah, sainthood,
ubudiyah, sheme, tawadhu, mushohabah, ridha, juud wa sakho�, al- huznu, adab,
ikhtiar, tawakkal, freedom, mujahadah, irodat, ridha, muroqobah, and patience.
Mome'ati teaches yaqin, taqwa, khauf and roja', ubudiyah, sincere, muroqobah,
ma'rifat, and mahabbah. Mohatamu teaches ridha, ubudiyah, zikir, and taqwa.
Benefits of Beati�s ethic values for guiding teenagers to have good behavior and
characters, preparing them to avoid bad habit in order to have good attitude and
noble person in future.
