Summary: | Wayang kulit (Javanese shadow puppet) Purwa show still has a place in
the hearts of puppet lover communities. Various events held either by the
government, private sector, and individuals presenting a puppet show as top of
the event. One of them is held in the form of the festival such as Temu Dalang
Cilik Nusantara IV Festival in Surakarta. This festival featuring children
puppeteers from various cities in Indonesia. As the study material on child
puppeteer Bima Anggoro presenting lakon Wahyu Cakraningrat. Material
observed were the process of how the child puppeteer Bima Anggoro present
the puppet show in which there is the motivation that drives to appear as a
puppeteer and how was the presentation of the show. Learning process of
child puppeteer Bima Anggoro was reviewed by theories of psychological
development of children. Presentation of wayang kulit purwa lakon Wahyu
Cakraningrat was analyzed using puppetry aesthetic approaches.
