description The aim of this study was to determine a process of skin premature aging in mouse model using Ultraviolet B light irradiation. Observed variable was structural changes of skin epidermis, collagen, and elastin by histochemistry staining. Twenty five and each group consisted of five, female Balb/c mice, four weeks old were experimental animal. The first group was as control ( unirradiated ), the second until fifth groups were given a UVB light irradiation during 5,10,15,20 weeks, respectively. The UVB dose was 465 mJ/m2 for 3 minutes. The hair of back mice was shaved before UVB light irradiation. The drinking water was given ad libitum. The observation was done macroscopical examination through histopatological changes of epidermis, collagen , and elastin fiber using H&E, Mallory and Alcian Blue staining. The results were analyzed by descriptive, Anova and Duncan Multiple Test.
