The Municipalfty Level II of Bandar Lampung Regency as a the principal clty of Lampung province is a center of economic activities, commercials, and services. As the development of the Municipality Level I I of Bandar Lampung Regency take place, the urban problems is appearing as its consequences. The average population growths is f a y high, that is 3.1 1 per cent annually, and the recorded economic growth is 6.18 per cent annually. These rates k causing the much more increasement In urban population needs for better publlc services. One of urban problems faced by the MunicipaMy Level Ii of Bandar Lampung Regency is the effort to handle garbage problems. Because o the currently garbage problem handling was more seriously f felt and become one of the national issues, it has to be thoroughly evercome. For that reason, the Local Government of Municipality Level II of Bandar Lampung Regency with the Regional Regulation No. 15 of 1985 and the Decrees of Bandar Lampung Regency Leader No. 45.220.1986 and No. 58/OINSAR/HK/1991 h aw stated the h a n d l i pollcies of garbage management problems. Based on these policies, the parties involved in their implementation are the Cleaning SeNices of Bandar Lampung Municipality, the Market Service of Bandar Lampung Mwricipakty, and Satuan Operasi Kebersihan Lhgkungan (SOKL1) [Cleaning Operational Unit of Emrironment). Therefore, driving by the desire to find garbage management promblems in Bandar Lampung Municipality, the problems mentioned above will be raised as the topk in this thesis writing by author. By referring to the academic knowledges accumulated during my course attendance in the college, the research topic will be limeted to the problems of Garbage Management Effectivity in Bandar Lampung Municipality. Then, the goals of this research is to find the garbage management effectivity in Bandar Lampung Municipality and to know the dominant factors affect4 it, that is the internal factors, including available resources, handling management and the management institution, and the external factors, inckrding social and economical canditions, people participations and the supports of other institutions. The method used in this research is descriptive one with the qualkative analysis technic. Thereby, its discusion was done by figuring and interpreting the research object conditions based on the obtained data during investigation, both secondary and primary data. From the analysis results of dominant factors affecttng the Garbage Management Effectivity in Bandar Lampung Municipality, it was conduded that the cuurently Garbage Management in Bandar Lampung Municipality is relatlvety effective. |
