The experiment was conducted to observe the effects of media types, shoot tip and Rootone-F concentration on adventitious rhizogenesis paramaters of teak (Tectona grandis L. f.) top cutting, namely: length of root, number of roots, percentage of rooting and percentage of callusing.
The experiment was done in the green house of Faculty of Forestry Gadjah Mada University for 7 months. The experiment design was Split-Split Plot in Completely Randomized Design with eigth replications. Media types as main plot comparising of 3 types: Soil (Ml), sand (M2) and vermiculit (M3), shoot tip as sub-plot comparising of 2 kinds: tipped top cutting (Tl) and untipped top cutting (T2), Rootone-F concentration as sub-sub plot comparising of 4 level: Control (RO), 100 ppm (Rl), 300 ppm (R2), 500 ppm (R3).
The result showed that media types highly significant affected length of root and non significant to the other paramaters. Untipped top cutting (T2) significantly could increase length of root, number of roots and percentage callusing meanwhile tipped top cutting (Tl) significantly could increase percentage of rooting. Length of root and number of roots increased as the Rootone-F concentration treatment increased. The highest amounts and the longest root was achieved on 500 ppm Rootone-F but the best concentration of Rootone-F had not been obtained yet. Interaction combination treatment showed non significant.
