Summary: | ABSTRACT
The present study was carried out from February 2003 to February 2004 in the laboratory and glass house of Balittra, and in the farmer's field in Barito Kuala South Kalimantan. The objectives of this study were to determine the correlation among Al-resistance screening methods and to select the best screening method and screening parameter on aluminum stress. The preliminary experiment had selected 5 peanut lines which have three levels of resistances on aluminum stress (resistance, moderate, and susceptible). These lines were used as material on the main experiment. The main experiment was consisted of three screening methods, namely, laboratory screening method, glass house screening method and field screening method. Correlation analysis was used to determine the relationship among these methods. Path analysis was used to select the best effective parameter to estimate Al-resistance. Orthogonal variance analysis was used to select the best screening method.
The result showed that there was significant correlation among three resistance screening method studied
