Summary: | ABSTRACT
The regiment therapy of hypertension often consists of captopril and a nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drug (NSAID). Captopril, an oral antihipertensive of ACEI groups inhibits not only ACE but also degradation of bradykinin. Though stimulates prostaglandin synthesis, while NSAIDs relieve pain by inhibits prostaglandin synthesis. Whether captopril have any effect on analgesic activity of NSAIDs have to be clarified.
In this experiment, three hundred fifteen female mice were involved using a chemical stimulation method of Koster. The animal were grouped into control group, treatment without captopril pretreatment group, and treatment with captopril pretreatment group. Control group were divided into 5 subgroups which consists of 15 mice. They were received PVP 25 ml/ kg BW or aquades 25 ml/kg BW or captopril 3,25 mg/kg BW or 6,5 mg/kg BW or 13 mg/kg BW. Treatment without captopril pretreatment group were divided into 4 subgroups which consists of 15 mice. They were received treatment of 65 mg/kg BW acetaminophen or 65 mg/kg BW dipyron or 65 mg/kg BW mefenamic acid or 6,5 mg/kg BW indometnacin without captopril pretreatment. Treatment with captopril pretreatment group were divided into 12.subgroups which consists of 15 mice. They were received treatment of 65 mg/kg BW acetaminophen or 65 mg/kg BW dipyron or 65 mg/kg BW mefenamic acid or 6,5 mg/kg BW indomethacin with pretreatment 3,25 mg/kg BW
