Description
Summary:ABSTRAK The aims of research was to find out the dispersion pattern of green stink bug Nezara viridula (L.), an area where they clumped, by using Iwao's and Morisita's method for analyzing the dispersion pattern. It was carried out at Experimental Station Gadjah Mada University, Kalitirto, Berbah, Sleman Yogyakarta from March through July 1998. The fields consisted of five blocks with size of 6 x 12 m. The soybean was of Wilis variety, and planted with distance of 25 x 40 cm. Population data were collected at the 30th days through harvest, with interval for one weeks. For Morisita's method, in each block five sampling units were selected randomly, which consisted of three rows and three columns, were designed a quadrant size with nine plants. For Iwao's method, in each block one sampling unit were selected randomly, which consisted of six rows and six columns, and were designed a quadrant size with 36 plants. The results indicated that the dispersion pattern of Nezara viridula population were uniform. They clumped in an area equal to a quadrant size of four plants. At high density, the nimph distribution were changed to contagiously distibution, with intra colony distribution was random. Keywords: dispersion pattern Nezara viridula soybean
