Summary: | ABSTRAK
The experiment to screen of paddy callus for drought resistance by using osmotic solution Polyethyleneglycol 6000 at the different levels of potential osmotic was carried out. The aim of this study was to find out: 1) the responses of Salumpikit, Cirata and IR64 cultivars in callus inducing on the MS basal medium treated with different level of 2,4-D and NAA compocition, 2) growth regulators which should be added into the basal MS medium for inducing callus and differentiation planlet, 3) to find out the proper concentration of PEG 6000 for screening to drought stress of paddy callus and 4) to observed the response to growth and development.of Salumpikit, Cirata and IR64 after screening drought stress on the medium differentiation.
The 1st experiment was 3x8 factorial arranged in a completely randomized design. The first factor was 3 cultivars,Salumpikit, Cirata and IR54. The second one was the combination of auxin at several concentrations, namely, Ml (40 mg/1 NAA)
