| Summary: | This research aim to know the existence of possibility of competition of food niche between Javan rhinoceros and banteng. At this research is conducted by perception of food type eaten by Javan rhinoceros and banteng constructively transek at 3 different location, that is : Cigenter ( instruct the goals 270°), Cimayang ( instruct the goals 90°), and Cikeusik ( instruct the goals 0°) what is each started from coastline. Long of transek used by as long as 1000 metre. Then calculated niche breadth and overlap niche between Javan rhinoceros and banteng.
Crop type which is only eaten by a Javan rhinoceros: bangban, heucit, kilaja, cane, segel, songgom, sulangkar. Crop type which is only eaten by banteng: bungur, gebang, kapol, lampeni, nibung, salam. Crop type eaten by banteng and Javan rhinoceros: areuy asahan, cariang and langkap. Pursuant to calculation got niche breadth of Javan rhinoceros is 7 and niche breadth of banteng is 7,1. While overlap niche of Javan rhinoceros and banteng is 0,395. Becoming concluded have been possibility happened by the food competition between Javan rhinoceros and banteng equal to 40 %.
