Description
Summary:Butonite Mastic Asphalt (BMA) is one of hotmix in which it consist of open gradded aggregate and a high coarse aggregate content (about 75%). Its characteristic is extremely influenced by both bitumen and additive content. This research was carried out by increasing the Roadcel-50 from 0.1% up to 0.4% in condition of optimum Butonite Mastic (BM) content to improve the flexibility and the oxidation resistance of bitumen. The main consistent finding in the research is that the optimum Butonite Mastic content in the BMA is 10.9%. The Roadcel-50 content of 0.1% results a highest percentage of Stability due to immersion of 78,1865 %, while the content of 0.4% reduces the stability of 73.611 %. The addition of Roadcel-50 could improve the value of stability of 12.036 % if it is compared to the BMA without Roadcel-50.
