Summary: | The weekly food sample intake of 20 females between 20 and 40 years from two geographic area (Mungkid and Sawangan district) was determined on consecutive days by means of the duplicate method. Twenty females were selected for this survey. This group consists of 5 females with goiter and 5 females without goiter from Mungkid, 5 females with goiter and 5 females without goiter from Sawangan. The minor element Na, K, Ca, Mg, and trace element Fe, Cu, Zn, Mn and Rb content of food sample and the weekly intake of these elements were determined with atomic absorption spectrometry. During the study period, the goiter group from both areas consumed Na, K. Ca, Mg, Fe, Cu, Zn, Mn and Rb lower than control, for goiter in Mungkid more higher consumed K than control.
