Description
Summary:ABSTRACT Non zero set points stirred tank control systems can be found in industries. The set points are related to maintain the quality of products. An actuator failure should be detected immediately or it will jeopardize the entire control strategy. A problem with a traditional controller (designed mainly to solve a control problem) is that its sructure does not give a facility for reducing the interaction between an actuator and outputs of the plant. Therefore, an actuator failure detection through outputs of the plant becomes difficult as it will be demonstrated in this paper. A decoupler based controller is designed to solve the problem mentioned above. Moreover, sensors contaminated by white noise are considered. The effect of noise can be reduced by using moving windows.
