The prime objective of this paper is to introduce queue length unit to predict horizontal queue lengths at traffic signals. Research was carried out by collecting data of more than 500 signal cycles in Yogyakarta to investigate queue lengths. Queues with mixed traffic composition were extensively analysed to develop queue length predictions. The results could be used for queue length predictions by considering traffic composition such as the percentage of large vehicles. |
