| Summary: | The main aim of this research is to find out the clarity of whether the marriage system which is carried out in the Kalang society at the moment has changed. Besides, the result of this research is also to study the basis of consideration of implementation of marriage system in the society and its relation to Article 2 and 8 of the Indonesian Marriage Law.
The data for this research are collected by library and field research. The library research has been done to find out the answers to the a bove mentioned problem and theories used as the guidance for the field research. The field research has been done to find out the data especially in Tegalgendu and Ngoto villages. The data from library and field research were analysed qualitatively. Samples of the research area are determined by purposive sampling and respondents in the case study are taken by snow ball sampling. There are ten respondents in this research .
The result of this research indicates that the marriage system of Kalang society especially in Ngoto and Tegalgendu village has changed. This situation occured because of several considerations which are social, religious and psychological. Then, the case study also proves that The Article 2 and 8 of The Marriage Law have been enforced by the society properly. |
