| Summary: | ABSTRACT
Presently, descriptive documents on the Javanese house are still difficult to be found, so that some efforts should be done to collect them. In several libraries in other countries - like Holland (in Leiden) - it can be found old documents in the form of Javanese literatures which relate indirectly to the Javanese house architecture. This fact shows that it is needed to study the relation between those Javanese literatures and the physical characteristic of the Javanese house. By understanding the context of those literatures, then, it is transformed into the analysis system of the physical Javanese house. The outcomes of this study will give understanding on the existence of the Javanese house, although they are still incomplete. It is important to collect other literatures to complete them.
