These changes, arising as a logical consequence of the interaction between the house and its inhabitants over a certain time period, are both quantitatively and qualitatively reflect the cultural background of the inhabitants. From a non-physical perspective, this interaction may bring about changes, not only to the physical structure of the house but also to the surrounding environment, which are related to the social-cultural background of the inhabitants.
The results of this analysis describe the quality of the relationship between changes in house structure and the social-economic and cultural background of the occupants. Finally, this study will add to our knowledge of Minahasa social-economic and social-cultural systems, with regard to the role they play in changes to the physical structure of their homes. |
