This is the main problem that will be discussed in this writing. The study Is carried out by investigating a number of actual shingle roofing installation aged between 14 to 21 years in Yogyakarta. The results show that the minimum standard of angle for shingle roofing in Indonesia (22,5°) has led to greater damages (20%) compared to that of greater angles ( e.g. 60° and 72,5°). The damage is primarily caused by greater solar radiation received on roof surfaces with smaller angles. This proves that the use of angles above 30° may significantly reduce damages on shingle roofing. |
