Daun benalu (Dendrophihoe petandra L (Miq)) yang tumbuh pada pohon kedawung yang mengan¬dung flavanoid diduga mempunyai aktivitas antifertilitas. Untuk memperoleh informasi tentang aktivitas antifertilitas dilakukan ekstraksi daun benalu (Dendrophthoe petandra L (Miq)) dengan metanol dan komponen aktifnya yang didapat di cobakan pada mencit jantan.
Analisis statistik yang dilakukan terhadap hasil uji aktivitas biologis menyimpulkan bahwa lk ekstrak metanol maupun senyawa murninya mempunyai aktivitas antifertilitas terhadap mencit jantan. -
Data lcromatografi dan spektroskopi memberikan informasi bahwa zat aktif tersebut identik dengan kuersetin 3-0-a-L -ramnosida

ABSTRACT
The leaves of Dendrophihoe petandra L (M) grows on Parkia biglobosa contains flavanoids derivatives and it was suggested has an antifertility activity. To provide information about the antifertilitas activity of leaves of Dendrophthoe petandra L (Miq), the leave was extracted using methanol and the compound was applied on male mice. The biologically active compound has also been identified.
The statistical analysis of biological activity concluded that the methanol extract and the compound had antifertility activity in male mice. The chromatographic and spectroscopic data suggested that the active compound was identical with Quersetin, 3-0-a-L-rharnnoside.
