| Summary: | The material expiry time is one of the factors that affect the material planning and inventory system. The existing inventory and material requirement planning models have not considered the expiry times of the materials. This paper presents material inventory planning model by considering expiry time of the material. The model was developed based on Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) model. For the situation where the material will be expired after a certain time, the model developed in this study has more optimal solution rather than EOQ. |
