Units of analysis were the household chiefs, i.e. 60 household chiefs that represented 90 household chiefs whose lands were removed for the golf court development plan. Meanwhile, the information was also gathered from secondary data, among others: from the village monograps, the Payangan Subdistrict Office, and the existing documents in the Badan Pertanahan Nasional (National Land Body), Gianyar. The data analyses were carried out quantitatively and qualitatively. The quantitative data result was analyzed by frequency distribution, while the qualitative data result was analyzed by meaning and based on the existing concepts and theories. The study results show that the existing conflicts were not until at struggle forms accompanied by physical fights. Basically, the struggles stemmed from the existing interest and land value differences in the Selasih custom village society. A part of villagers considered that the land was not only as production factors economically, but also related to the waris and the transcendental matters, so that the existence must be maintained. Another part considered the land only as assets on capitals that the existence was changeable in another form. There were various factors contributed to the emergence and development of the conflicts, e.g. factors that come from the Selasih custom village itself (internal factors) and factors that come from the levels of the relative low education, the low society mobility, the changes of the existing values in a part of the society. The external factors, i.e. the regional government policy, the political and economic interests of some regional leaders, factors of the land owners that come from outside of the Selasih custom village, and the conflict occurrences that happened in Bali. Basically, the custom villages have big roles in controlling, restricting and overcoming the existing conflicts. The efforts were performed persuasively by bendesa adat and prajuru adat. The, "special" meeting (sangkepan) and the "special" meeting that involved the official village chief, the Payangan sector police and the subdistrict leader as representing the regional government part, accompanied them. In addition, the regional government of Gianyar District, i.e. through a policy also performed the conflict settlement efforts by canceling the golf court development plan. The existing conflicts were relatively not to change the order and basic social relation structure of the Selasih custom village. The study findings also show that there was a relation structure of the Selasih custom village. The study finding also shows that custom village sociocultural resilience was relatively good.
