Effect of sea level rise, and land subsidence to flooding fenomena along coastal area of Jakarta.
Caused by global warming, ice layers at polar and other areas will be melted and to be water. Most of the water flow to the sea and will cause sea level rise. The locations along coastal area of Jakarta may be infected by the sea level rise also. Besides this, caused by too much groundwater withdrawal, Jakarta is also infected by land subsidence. Both conditions will cause flooding along the coastal area of Jakarta.
Sea level rise in Jakarta will be analysed using sea tide data of that area. Land subsidence of the area will be analysed using spirit levelling data. Using the both data, will be analysed what is the reason of flooding phenomena along the coastal area of Jakarta. All of the data will be processed using computer and its relevant software.
The result of the research suggested that the flooding fenomena at the area is caused by land subsidence and also sea level rise along the coastal area of Jakarta.
