Summary: | The aim of this research is to know effect of interference and rehearsal to retention of Indonesian language learning. A number of 132 students at the sixth grade were asked to learn Indonesian language for 40 minutes. After that they were devided into three groups. The first group was asked to learn Indonesian language more, the second group studied natural sciences, and the third group didn't learn anything (no any mental activities). Then afl of them were tested by an Indonesian language's achievement test as indicator of retention of Indonesian language learning. The data was analyzed by statistical methods that is analysis of variance. The results of this research are: (1) there is no effect of interference to retention of Indonesian language learning, and (2) there is no effect of rehearsal to retention of Indonesian language learning. |
