Description
Summary:Prognostic value of blood pressure during hospital admission on acute infarct stroke cases Incident of stroke still high and cause of death and disability. Patients with acute stroke are often found having high blood pressures at hospital admission. Previous studies have shown variable results regarding the prognostic value of high blood pressure in acute stroke. There have not been any study of prognostic value among high pressure levels at hospital admission with outcome neurological deficit in acute stroke infarction. The aim of this study was to investigate the prognostic value of admission blood pressure and neurological deficit 7 days follow-up of patient with acute stroke infarction. Cohort study was done during 7 days follow-up. Hospital base cases were selected at Dr. Sardjito hospital, with the inclusion criteria were (acute stroke infarction with onset up to 72 hours) and exclusion criteria (intracerebral hemorrhage and unconsciousness).One-hundred patients divided into two group using mean arterial blood pressure (MAP). Each group consist of 70 patients with MAP 140 mmHg and 30 patients with < 140 mmHg. All patients undergo neurologic deficit examination using orgoozo scale.Result: Patients with MAP' 140 mmHg and onset < 24 hours (X2mH -= 5,05
