Summary:Telemetry system to measure traffic density information is an important thing to have. Piezoelectric is a sensor that is used to change vibration into an electrical signal. This characteristic is used to identify vibration in a bridge that is occurred because of vehicles dynamic motion. This research has been done which combine a piezoelectric, capasitor, spiral spring, and pendulum. Sensors are placed over the bridge's sidewalk area when used to get data. Output signal from sensors is fed into a mic compressor (pre amp) to get amplification. The mic compressor output is fed into a computer through sound cards' line in. Data from the experiment is recorded and is analyzed by Cool Edit Pro version 2.0. The amplification from mic compressor depends on frequency of the input wave. The mic compressor will give higher gain to the input with higher frequency. Vehicles average vibration amplitude depends on the mass and type of vehicles.
