There were four basic surface of the bracket :1) slippery surface, 2) perforated bracket base, consist of peripheral perforated base and fully perforated base, 3) mesh type base, consist of foil mesh type and mesh type, 4) photo etched design. Many orthodontists choose the more expensive bracket because of the mesh, now, bracket that were not expensive but it had attachment that almost equal to the mesh bracket were available. There were various bracket's basic surface area : narrow base, medium base, wide, narrow medium, and narrow wide. Patients like the little bracket's basic surface size, but it had poor attachment compared to the medium size or wide size. Key words: bracket, bond strength, size of bracket
