Combination software of Visual Basic and AutoCAD has been used to develop the interface. Two parameters have been applied to measure the quality of design. These are dimension accuracy and coordinate position of each layer of slicing (0.1 mm thick). Dimension accuracy was obtained by calculating using an empirical equation (theory) and using a direct measurement of the print out. A 3D object of Pyramid has been applied as a sample test.
The results of the design show that the dimension reduces by 0.346 mm at the angle of 30 degrees and by 2 mm at the angle of 40 degrees. There also shows 0.2 mm difference result obtained by theory and measurement. |
