The goal of the study is to find out: (1) the relationship between racial prejudice with perception of aggressive behavior (2) the difference between the group of the indigenous community who have chance for acting interracial interaction and those who have no chance for acting interracial interaction in racial prejudice and perception of aggressive behavior, (3) the difference between the group of indigenous community with those of Chinese in racial prejudice and perception of aggressive behavior.
The subjects are students from UNISBA (N=50) and IAIN (N=50) as representative of the group of the indigenous communities who have no chance for acting interracial interaction, and from UNPAR (N=50) and Pribumi-UKM (N=48) who have chance for acting interracial interaction. Besides, there are students of Cina-UKM (N=49) as representative of the group of Indonesian's Chinese community. The instruments that used in this research are Racial Prejudice and Perception of Aggressive Behavior Questionnaire.
The resulting data are analyzed by product moment correlation, ANOVA 1-way, and t-test technique. The following conclusions are drawn from this study. First, there is correlation between racial prejudice with perception of aggressive behavior. Second, there are differences between the group of the indigenous community who have chance for acting interracial interaction and those who have no chance for acting interracial interaction in racial prejudice and perception of aggressive behavior). Third, there are differences between the group of indigenous community with those of Chinese in racial prejudice and perception of aggressive behavior.
