description ABSTRACT Experiment on 201TI production by proton activation in Batan's Cs-30 Cyclotron has been carried out. The 2/13T1 target preparation was done by an electroplating process using a current of about 60 mA for 4 � 5 hours. The activation was performed by 26,5 Mev proton bombardment with a beam current of 30 � 34 A for 5 � 6 hours. The resulting 201Pb radionuclide was separated by a coprecipitation as its hydroxide using Fe(III) carrier. The separation of 201Pb from the carrier and that of 201T1 daugther from the 201Pb fraction were performed by an AG 1X8 ( Ci" ). 100 � 200 mesh ion exchange resin. The produced 21:11-n met the quality needed for radiopharmaccutical preparation, however, an improvement of radiochemical process is �necessary to increase the quality and quantity of the product.
