| Summary: | ABSTRACT
Local goverment office in the Province of Special Territory of Yogyakarta is based on the decree of the Governor. Now, there are significant differentces and various patterns on interior lay out of the Head of Department offices between the excisting and the standard. This research was intended to obtain the variety in interior pattern of the offices and estimation factors upon the variety.
The research was conducted using purposive sampling method on physical data, influence factors, and excisting conditions. The data were analysed using processes of categorization, description, and explanation on every case. The narrative explanation method had been used for discussion to explore the hidden meanings in the findings.
Result of the research showed that the most room pattern used are: more than 9m.', private permanently type , with desk chair facility, with guest sitting chair facility, and backside sunlight direction. These pattern might be the most fit to the need of the Head of Department for privacy, and the status, however, these need further research.
