Within this new social conditions, the established forest:, management system of teak is becoming absoiete. As a result of employing that 91d. system, the teak forest is deteriorating. -
To solve the problems, the only alternative is to take into account the, social : problems in formulating the management objectives and establishing the management regimes. The complexity of the forest ecosystem as well as the social system are., very. often hampering any research in this field to find. out the adequate replies. However, with the advent of the modern computer, the complex analysis of ecologicAll systems become a practical possibility. A dynamic simulation procedure is Vien. created as a tool to identify the problems, promote. tentatiV solutions and at last toiekt and choose the most suitable alternative:
The research found that the social environment of teak plantation in Java is suffering from fuelwood and timber deficit. Moreover, the most important and heavy.' burdens problem is coming from the fact that rural unemployment is very high, while many of the peasant families are catagorized as landless and nearly landless.
