Summary: | ABSTRACT
This study is about female traders activating and working in fish circulation connected with the work ethos. The research focuses on the role of ethos in their job running in trading sector and whether the ethos they build could create bargaining position in decision making within the family. The research was conducted in a fish market located in Brondong village, Lamongan. Respondents were 8 people. The research consists of primary data and secondary one. Collecting data technique is conducted by observation and an indept interview. Data technigue analysis will employ data reduction analysis process. It is very significant to realize women's role rather in domestic or public, and its managing will be case-related focus. The result shows that ethos of women fish-traders which has transcendent sense of why they have to work is very influential in decision making within family. In access rate and control, women have made progress, although, to some extend, men who are superior have found shift in family. For some people, they have been interdependent and supported their role among husbands and wives.
