Depression of mothers with psychotic childrens in Dr. Sardjito Central General Hospital and "Puri Nirmala" Special Hospital in Yogyakarta. Psychotic cases could be as a source of many conflicts and problems for their families and their environments, especially to the mothers. Psychotic disorder of their sons or daughters cause a stress for a long time. The aim of this cross sectional investigation is to acquire data of depression quantity of 30 mothers where their psychotic sons or daughters were hospitalized in Dr. Sardjito Central General Hospital and 'Puri Nirmala" Special Hospital in October and November 1990. The validated HRSD instrument was used. The statistic analyses used Chi-square and contigency correlation. The result of this investigation can be useful! to support the family therapy.
